尼克及合伙人建筑设计股份公司与筑博设计（集团）股份有限公司合作参与深圳市第二儿童医院设计竞赛，并获得第一名。

儿童医院的设计反映了就医环境中儿童的特殊需求。新的建筑为年轻的父母设计了更多的空间，方便他们陪同就医。而且，医院提供了多种类型的病房，来满足从婴儿到青少年不同年龄阶层病人的需求。与成年人不同，儿童需要环境空间提供给他们更多的安全感。新建的医院设计了更多视觉上有趣的等候区和更好的方向感，得益于此，医院为病患们营造轻松的环境。

充分利用地势优势，儿童医院被有效地分为一个裙楼和一个塔楼。病患和住院医生通过较低的裙楼进入医院，感受其亲切友好的形象。内庭花园分化医院的人流，将其引入护理单元、诊断和治疗单元，提供充足的自然光、通风和绿植，因而优化病患的使用体验，为工作人员营造一个舒适的工作环境。医院还提供绿色环境和一个拥有咖啡馆、商店以及公共设施的休闲商业区，为周边带来更多活力。

Nickl & Partner Architekten AG with Partner (Zhubo) has successfully participated in a competition for new construction of the Children‘s Hospital in Shenzen and taken first place.

The design of the children‘s hospital reflects the specific needs of children in the hospital environment. The new building offers more space, as young patients are always accompanied by their family members. Further, it offers a variety of ward types to accommodate the changing requirements according to the patient’s ages, from babies to teenagers. Also, in comparison with adults, children need more sense of safety from the space surrounding them. Therefore, the new building provides a relaxing environment enhanced by visually interesting waiting areas and easy orientation.

By taking advantage of a difference in altitude on the site, the building is effectively split in a lower podium and a tower. Patients and residents approaching the hospital entrance on the lower level are met with a friendly scale. The building’s mass is also reduced by inner courtyards in the nursing units and diagnosis and treatment units, which provide abundant sunlight, ventilation and greenery, thus enhancing the patient’s experience and creating a pleasant working environment for the medical staff. By offering rich green surroundings and commercial
space with cafés, shops and public facilities, the hospital additionally improves the vitality of the neighbourhood.
