Over 1 billion euros of subsidies for new hospital construction projects!
With the central objective of ensuring continued high-quality care in the health sector and continuously modernising hospital buildings and other health-related facilities, the Bavarian Council of Ministers has now announced a funding package for the financing of new hospital construction projects in Bavaria.
As the general planner of the replacement building of Klinikum Memmingen, which is one of the three largest non-university hospital construction projects in Bavaria, we are very pleased that our project has been included in the funding programme and will be subsidised with 291.59 million euros.
Construction work on the 15-hectare site of the health campus is scheduled to start already in spring 2025. Our design envisages a new, green health campus whose components – the hospital, psychiatric clinic, medical care centre and car park – are grouped around a shared square and linked to each other via a superordinate path system.
We are looking forward to a promising cooperation in the project team with the client B/O-Planer and the municipal and state authorities and are eagerly awaiting the start of construction!
