For the fourth time in a row, the Architecture for Health Student Award was presented this year!
Sponsored by the Hans and Christine Nickl Foundation, the award honours outstanding projects presented by future architects as part of their Master’s thesis. It is intended to give graduates the opportunity to deepen their expertise in the field of health architecture and to encourage them to pursue their career in this direction.
This year, the jury decided to award two 1st prizes and one 3rd prize:
1. Prize: “Conceptual Design of Post-epidemic X Public Housing in Hong Kong”, He Haonan, Macau University of Science and Technology
1. Prize: “Until the End”, Jennifer Keßler, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
3. Prize: “Healing House – I wake up and… then what?”, Niels Geerts, Academy of Architecture Amsterdam
In addition, the Charité Special Prize – donated by the University Medicine Berlin – was awarded once again. This award recognises outstanding student work with a special focus on sustainable hospitals.
This year the award went to:
“A (S)pace for Rest”, Ebba Barkfors & Jennie Bergman, Chalmers University of Technology
Further information on the exciting projects of the young architects can be found on the official website of the European Network Architecture for Health, which organised the award.
Congratulations to the winners!
