The German Central Association for Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning in collaboration with the Association of German Architects (BDA) has awarded the Energy+Architecture European Architecture Prize for the fourth time.
Under the chairmanship of BDA President Heiner Farwick, the jury unanimously determined the prize winners at its meeting on 18 November 2015. The award ceremony took place in Berlin on 19 April 2016.
Nickl & Partner Architekten AG is delighted to receive an honourable mention for the Munich Centre for Stroke and Dementia Research.
Excerpt from the jury assessment:
“…The jury particularly praises the building technology employed, which is linked by an energy management system. In combination with an energy-efficient building volume and a highly-insulated building shell, it achieves a significant improvement over the requirements of the German Energy Saving Regulations and large reductions in carbon emissions.”
