Following successful participation in the VOF procedure, the general planning bidding consortium of Nickl & Partner Architekten AG, Gödde Ingenieure GmbH and Krebs + Kiefer Ingenieure GmbH was awarded the contract for restructuring of the pathology, neuropathology and forensic medicine departments at the Essen University Hospital.
To restructure the clinic, research and teaching activities, Essen University Hospital intends to build a new institute in two phases.
The current pathology, neuropathology and forensic medicine departments consist of two existing connected buildings.
In the first construction phase, a freestanding laboratory building will be built for use by these departments with the option of a connection to the office building planned for the second phase. As a preliminary measure, the forensic medicine institute will be vacated and then demolished. A laboratory building will be built on the resulting site for shared use by the three disciplines.
We are looking forward to the new project!
