After receiving first prize in the competition, Nickl & Partner Architekten AG has now also been awarded the contract for the new Haunersches Children’s Hospital building on the Grosshadern Campus in Munich.

“The building will offer all the capabilities of high-performance medicine and should also be a place where sick children and young people and their parents feel that they are in good hands,” said Dr Ludwig Spaenle, Bavarian State Minister for Education, Cultural Affairs, Science and Art. “Its architecture will also make a contribution to the healing of children and young people.” And much more: doctors and scientists will also significantly advance research into various childhood and adolescent illnesses. “We are committed to continually improving diagnostics and therapy,” says Professor Christoph Klein, Director of the Children’s clinic (quote from tz-online, 5 July 2015).
