Nickl & Partner Architekten AG

At the end of November 2013, HeidelbergCement AG held a private competition for a new 6,300-square-metre laboratory and administration building in Leimen, just outside Heidelberg. Ten firms took part, two of which had been preselected.

The jury met on 25 March and awarded fourth prize to Nickl & Partner’s design. Their report praised the thought that had gone into the planning concept, including the flexible laboratory layout and the project’s “exciting architecture”.
