The symposium took place in the psychiatric clinic of Berlin Charité Hospital on 18 July 2015. Alongside diverse lectures on the subject of space and psyche from fields such as history, medicine and philosophy, Prof. Christine Nickl-Weller gave a lecture about architecture and its direct influence on the recovery and well-being of patients in psychiatric institutions.
A special symposium highlight was the performance of “RAUMAUSLOTEN” by dancers from the Compagnie Sasha Waltz & Guests. Prof. Christine Nickl-Weller also took part in the panel discussion at the conclusion of the event. Other speakers at the event included the philosopher Peter Sloterdijk and Charité director Karl Max Einhäupl.
