This new centre, operated by the research giant Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, is used by the nearby Hannover medical university and other important research institutions, mainly for early clinical medical research. It forms a landmark within the city’s new medical park, ranging in height between two and five storeys and carefully integrated with its surroundings. The complex comprises research laboratories, inpatient and outpatient treatment areas, offices, waiting areas, and overnight accommodation for participants in clinical trials.
