Renovation of the University Hospital ward building façade during ongoing operations.

The project was part of the renovation and modernisation that we carried out at the Goethe University Hospital in Frankfurt am Main. Through its presence, the ward block should satisfy both energy requirements and creative demands. The goal was to create a building with recognition value for the campus in the course of the renovation. Renewal of the ward building façade during ongoing operations represented a logistical challenge. A canopy connects the ward high-rise with central building 23 and points to the spacious, glazed entrance hall that forms the interface between University and Hospital operations.
